GOD FORBID To Play Hometown Show For The First Time In A Decade

March 24, 2008

New Jersey metal titans GOD FORBID have issued the following update:

"GOD FORBID will be taking some time from the studio to do a couple shows next month. First off, we will be playing in our hometown of New Brunswick, NJ for the first time in nearly a decade. The show will take place at The Court Tavern which is also the location of the first ever show we played (before we were called GOD FORBID). Keep in mind this show is 21 and up, and the room only holds about 200 people, and there are no pre-sale tickets. First come, first serve. We hope to see a lot of old faces. We also be playing this year's New England Metal and Hardcore Festival which is familiar ground for the band, and we look forward to playing with our good friends in MESHUGGAH and NEVERMORE. Good times for all!"

GOD FORBID's new CD is being recorded at Trax East studios in New Jersey with longtime producer Eric Rachel (ATREYU, IN THIS MOMENT). A late 2008 release via Century Media Records is expected.

As previously reported, GOD FORBID will hit the road in the U.S. with DEATH ANGEL, SOILENT GREEN and LIGHT THIS CITY starting in May.

GOD FORBID will also release a DVD, entitled "Beneath the Scars of Glory and Progression", later in the year.
